Missions Discipleship and Research Institute traces its beginning to 2011 when it began to have trainings for university and college students who had interest in cross cultural missions. hundreds of students also received correspondent trainings for some years in different schools in Ghana. Trainings also began for pastors and church leaders in Ghana and other African countries.

The goal of the training had been to stir up the passion of participants to impact their societies with revival, growth in the knowledge of the word of God and also equip participants for missions and evangelism

Over the years more than a thousand participants had passed through the trainings. In 2017 the Footworks trainings evolved into Footworks Missions Discipleship and Research Institute. Currently, all the training are going inline to be accessible to participants from any part of Africa and the world.

The institute currently run over thirty courses under its three programs.  The institute has some of the choicest faculty who are well endowed in their field of lecture. Today the institute is playing a very pioneering role in training Christians to practically impact their society with revival and for cross cultural missions.  

The Institute faculty also has a mixture of the older generation who are veterans in their field and vibrant experienced young leaders in delivering various courses and subjects.

Theological position

Our Theological position has its foundation in the Bible and is in full agreement with the foundational principles of the doctrines of Christ.

  1. We believe that there is only one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. (Ephesians 4:5-6, Gen. 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17)
  2. We believe in the deity of Christ. (John 1: 1-4; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:1-5)
  3. He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-35)
  4. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:30-35)
  5. He died (John 19:30-35)
  6. He rose again from the dead bodily (John 20:25-29, Luke 24:36-40)
  7. He ascended into heaven bodily (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 24: 29-30)
  8. We believe in the salvation of men through the person of Jesus Christ; by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth, you are saved as taught in Romans 10:9,10
  9. We believe that the Bible contains the inspired and infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1: 20-21)
  10. We believe in the rapture of the church and the Second coming of Christ.

  1. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross and His resurrection from the grave (Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47; Ephesians 1:7)
  2. We believe regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God is essential for personal salvation (Titus 2:5, John 3:3-5, Ephesians 5:25-27)
  3. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine healing for the body, salvation for the soul of everyone that believes. (1 Peter 2: 24; Acts 3: 16, Acts 9: 32 -35)
  4. We believe that when an individual receives the Holy Ghost, he receives divine enablement for Christian service and witness. (Acts 1: 8; 2:4; 3:1 -26; 4:5 – 12)
  5. We believe in the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the former to eternal life and the latter to eternal judgement. (Revelations 20: 11 -15; 1 Corinthians 15: 12 – 23)
  6. We believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 12:1-10, ministry gifts as taught in Romans 12:6-8 and Ephesians 4:11 (office gifts)

 

  1. We believe in the practice and doctrine of the communion as taught by the Lord Jesus. Luke 22:19, 20, 1 Corinthians 23-33.
  2. We believe in tithing and offering to the advancing of the course of Christ through His church. Genesis 14:18-20, Malachi 3:6-10, 1 Corinthians 16:1-3, 2 Corinthians 9:1-9.
